Hand-Blown Ribbed Glass Semi-Flush Mount · Living Antique Brass Finish
With a traditional feel, the thoughtful design of the Hastings Semi-Flush Mount brings unique beauty to your home. Available in Polished Nickel and Antique Brass, the flush mount is made from blown glass and features ribbed details and a band inset for a truly dynamic look.
A glassblower shapes each globe by breath and hand, coaxing the form into being rather than pressing it into a mould. The result is a hand-blown glass ceiling light whose walls carry the living memory of their making: subtle variations in thickness and translucency that catch light differently throughout the day, morning to evening, season to season.
Horizontal ribs encircle the globe in even rhythm, interrupted by a sculpted band inset that draws the eye and adds depth without weight. On the Antique Brass option, the hardware that holds the globe in place is no ordinary finish. It is a living one: genuine brass, left to evolve naturally through oxidation, develops a patina that moves from warm gold into richer ambers and earthy browns. Some fixtures fade. The Hastings deepens. (The Polished Nickel option has a steel fixture.)
At 10.5″ in diameter and 14.75″ in overall height, the Hastings carries the graceful presence of a pendant within the practical profile of a traditional semi-flush ceiling light. It belongs above a kitchen island at golden hour, centred in an entryway where it greets every arrival, or above a bed, where its warm, diffused glow makes the room feel like somewhere worth staying.
Key Features:
- Ribbed detailing & sculpted band inset — horizontal ribs and a recessed band wrap the globe in tactile depth, transforming ambient light into something dimensional and alive
- Living Antique Brass finish — genuine brass that oxidises naturally over time, developing a rich patina from warm gold through deep amber and earthy brown tones
- A fixture that improves with age — the patination process is natural and does not compromise the structural integrity of the brass; it only adds beauty
- Semi-flush globe silhouette — 10.5″ diameter × 14.75″ overall height; pendant-like presence in a low-profile form suited to standard 8–10 ft ceilings
- Warm, diffused ambient light — the blown glass walls scatter light softly and evenly, eliminating harsh shadows and creating an enveloping warmth
- Hardwire installation — permanent ceiling mount; professional installation recommended; care with soft dry cloth only — no chemicals or abrasives
- Light source included — ships with compatible bulb(s), ready to install right out of the box.
