Do Nowmic light fixtures work on 120V US household wiring?

Fixtures that list 120V are rated for US line voltage, and fixtures that list a 110-240V wide-voltage range include 120V, so both work on a standard 120V circuit. If a listing does not print a voltage, ask us and we will confirm it from the supplier sheet before you order.

What does a 110-240V wide-voltage rating mean on a 120V circuit?

120V sits inside the printed range, so the fixture accepts US line voltage as supplied. The range is printed because the same fixture is sold into 220-240V markets and the driver or the socket assembly covers both.

Certification is a separate matter from the voltage line. We check the delivery country on every order and ship each fixture with the certification required there: UL or ETL listing for the United States and Canada, CE marking for Europe. Copies of the certificates are available on request.

Which fixtures print 120V outright?

The newer specification-style listings do, where the supplier sheet was transcribed line by line. They are spread across chandeliers, wall sconces, pendants and flush mounts, and carry voltage, wattage per bulb, location rating, weight and dimming method in one block.

Which fixtures print a wide-voltage range instead?

Listings that print 110-240V are spread across Wall Sconces and Chandeliers rather than concentrated in one series. Mirza Round Chandelier is one of them, and its 110-240V range includes the 120V of a standard US circuit.

What if a listing does not print a voltage?

Some older listings follow an earlier format built around finish, dimensions and bulb count, closing with a note that the fixture is hardwired and professional installation is recommended. Voltage was not a field in that format.

If you are specifying for a job and need the number in writing, ask us for the fixture by name and we will confirm it from the supplier sheet. For a sconce purchase the other lines worth reading before voltage are collected in our wall sconce buying checklist, and if the fixture is going onto a pitched ceiling, see whether a chandelier or pendant can hang from a sloped ceiling.

Is the fixture hardwired or plug-in?

Most fixtures in this catalogue are hardwired. Plug-in designs include Aurelia Globe Plug-In Wall Sconce, Minimalist Brass Globe LED Flush Mount Light and White Modern Bedroom Ceiling Light. Zayd Sconce and Zayd Double Sconce have an inline on and off foot switch on the cord. If a listing does not state the installation type, or you want it confirmed in writing, ask us before ordering.

How did we measure this?

On 17 September 2026 we read the description and short description of the published fixtures in this catalogue, recording any printed voltage and any statement about hardwired or plug-in installation. The table above quotes eight of those listings as published on that date.

This guide summarises published wording, not bench measurements; a listing that prints 110-240V is repeating the supplier specification. Prices in the table are the published prices on the same date, with variable products shown at the lowest variation.

What else do people ask about voltage and wiring?

Does a 110-240V fixture work on a US 120V circuit?

120V sits inside the printed 110-240V range, so the fixture accepts US line voltage; the wide range is printed because the same fixture is sold in 220-240V markets. Certification is handled separately. We check the delivery country on every order and ship the fixture with the certification required there: UL or ETL listing for the US and Canada, CE marking for Europe.

Why does a listing not print any voltage?

Some older listings follow an earlier format, built around finish, dimensions and bulb count, that did not include a voltage field. Ask us for the fixture in question and we will confirm from the supplier sheet.

Are any of these fixtures plug-in?

Yes. Plug-in designs include Aurelia Globe Plug-In Wall Sconce, Minimalist Brass Globe LED Flush Mount Light and White Modern Bedroom Ceiling Light, and Zayd Sconce and Zayd Double Sconce have an inline foot switch on the cord. Most other fixtures are hardwired; if a listing does not say, ask us before ordering.

Does 120V printed on the listing mean the bulbs are included?

Not by itself. Bulb inclusion is a separate line on each listing, and it varies by fixture whether or not a voltage is printed.
